Ceremonial conferment of doctoral degrees of the Aalto University
The first ceremonial conferment of doctoral degrees of the Aalto University was organized in October 2010. In the ceremony a total of 365 Doctors of Science in Technology and Doctors of Philosophy were conferred.
The Ceremonial Conferment took place in Otahalli. This legendary sports arena designed by Alvar Aalto was furnished and decorated from floor to ceiling according to Aalto University colour scheme. Modern technology combined with imposing visual elements created a distinguished and festive conferment.
The Conferment Banquet was held at Dipoli. A multi-screen video solution made it possible for all 600 participants to enjoy the banquet program.
Tapahtumantekijät Oy was responsible for the events technical management and both structural and visual execution of the event.
