An event is a type of media, although it is rarely regarded as such. In marketing communications, an event has a function either separately or in collaboration with other types of media, depending on its objective, target group and message.
The nature of the event partly determines whether the contents will be understood. It should be carefully considered whether the message will be communicated through a seminar, an entertaining party, a company meeting, a kick-off event, a press launch or a combination of these.
